NEED HELP
WRITING TO
YOUR MP?

You don't need to be an expert or write a long letter

Just tell your MP, in your own words, why this matters to you

Keep It Simple - 3 Things To Say

1. Why does this matter to you? What concerns you about the proposed gene technology changes?

2. What do you want protected? For example: our environment, food system, farming, transparency, consumer choice or the future we leave our children.

3. What are you asking your MP to do? Ask them to listen to your concerns, explain their position and consider them when making decisions about the legislation.

Then send it.

Start With

Dear [MP's name],

Write a few sentences answering the three questions above.

Finish with:

Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns.

Add your name and electorate, then hit Send.

That's it. You don't need perfect words. You just need to make your voice heard.

Please don't copy and paste someone else's letter. Your own words and your personal reasons for caring are what make your message powerful.
